Scope of Service Experience
Chris Pope has been practicing commercial real estate in Southwestern Montana for over 6 years with a focus on retail, office and industrial brokerage, prior to which he owned multiple-store specialty retail locations.
Chris Pope brings first hand knowledge of retailers, small businesses and individual investors to NAI Landmark. His designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Member [CCIM] and his direct experience as a business owner and corporate manager gives him a unique view of commercial real estate valuation and portfolio analysis, and specific insight into retail and office brokerage in Southwest Montana.
Education
Chris Pope received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon, and a Masters in Public and Private Management from Yale University in 1988. He was a marketing manager for a subsidiary of Amoco Corporation, Rockwell, Maryland, before moving with his family to Bozeman in 1991, at which time he and his wife founded a local retail company with operations in Montana and Utah.

Chris Pope is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designee with over 15 years of experience in business and property ownership in Southwest Montana. He has developed and owned a profitable multiple-location retail business in the greater Bozeman area. Chris has also owned and managed apartments in the area.
Chris brings a specific knowledge of the needs of retailers, small businesses and individual investors/owners in Gallatin County. His familiarity with business valuation and operation, and his leadership in the community gives Chris a unique view of future commercial opportunities in the Valley.
Professional Affiliations & Designations
Chris’s leadership in the community includes being current chair of the Bozeman Parking Commission, which is overseeing the development of a $12 million parking facility in the City Center. He was past chair of the Downtown Bozeman Association, the Business Improvement District (representing property owners), and the Downtown Urban Renewal District. Chris is past board chair of Eagle Mount, a local non-profit serving those with disabilities, and is a current member of the Bozeman Noon Rotary.
