Cheryl has more than 35 years of healthcare business and management consulting experience. She served on the senior leadership team of Bozeman Health for 15 years leading business development & market expansion initiatives. In this capacity she was responsible for strategic planning, real estate acquisition, land asset management & development, facility planning and construction project management for key installations, along with marketing communications and public relations. Prior to joining Bozeman Health she was a founder and principal of a healthcare management consulting firm for 9 years serving client engagements for more than 100 organizations throughout the US, and held various management positions with several health systems. Cheryl has had oversight responsibility for more than $42M of commercial & residential real estate transactions, facility planning, and construction including the feasibility, architectural, & construction planning for the greenfield $25M Big Sky Medical Center. Additionally, she led the development team for a 55+ subdivision and $46M in infrastructure and vertical construction, along with managing land use master planning projects and numerous real estate lease transactions for the corporation. Since its founding in 2016, Cheryl has been an owner and partner of Stay Montana, a vacation rental management company, and its subsidiary Intermountain Property Management.

  • Cheryl has decades of marketing experience that she brings to every property owner for successful positioning of their home. She also has first hand knowledge of purchasing/selling/leasing primary and secondary residential and investment properties and more than 10 years property management experience as landlord.
  • Cheryl has a deep understanding and working knowledge of land development, including navigation of municipal subdivision requirements and processes, along with decades’ long experience with commercial and residential construction project management. Her work in economic development provides understanding of the synergies of real estate site selection, neighborhood development, and the overall contributions of each to create and maintain a vibrant community where people desire to live, work, and play. Cheryl has experience working with community, business, municipality & government leaders in Bozeman, Big Sky, and the greater Gallatin Valley region.
  • She is professionally trained in market research, and will leave no stone unturned to identify options and alternatives to benefit her clients and their real estate projects. She is a natural mediator and a key to her business success is understanding the needs and preferences of all parties and then identifying winning and workable solutions.
  • Cheryl embraced the role of universal design in creating beautiful and functional living environments to enhance lifestyles of all ages and generations. This became instrumental in her work to obtain her CAPS education & supported her efforts with active adult subdivision planning.
  • Cheryl loves the concept of ‘cocooning’. As a full time working mom & executive for decades she knows the importance of ‘loving where you live’ and finding and creating home environments that can be soothing, energizing, and rejuvenating, providing solace from today’s fast paced lifestyles. She loves matching a client’s lifestyle with a home’s functionality and location to create their favorite haven.
  • With her creative marketing mindset she has enjoyed working with owners to stage homes and create ‘memory spaces’ to showcase homes listed for sale and generate top of mind awareness with prospective buyers.


Community Service & Professional Involvement:
Cheryl has worked extensively through the years to support various community organizations including: founding director and officer of Bozeman Deaconess Real Estate Development Corporation [2006-2017]; Prospera Business Network [2005-2013, Board President 2012]; HRDC - Human Resources Development Council District IX [2006-2013, Board Vice Chair 2011-2012]; Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District [2012 - 2017]; founding board member of Bozeman Fiber [2015-2017]; Leadership Bozeman 2015; Bozeman School District Long Range Planning Committee [2005-2017], Mental Health Local Advisory Council [2005-2013], and the City of Bozeman Economic Development Council since its inception in 2011 to present.

Education & Certifications:
Cheryl received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and Social Services from West Liberty University in WV, and obtained Professional Teaching Certification from Central Connecticut State University School of Graduate Studies. She obtained her CAPS [Certified Aging in Place Specialist] designation from the National Association of Home Builders in 2013. Cheryl received her real estate license in 2018 and joined ERA Landmark Real Estate as a Sales Associate. She has completed the ERA Distinctive Properties certification. Cheryl is a member of the Montana and Gallatin Association of Realtors and the Big Sky Country Multiple Listing Service.

Personal note:
Cheryl has owned and leased real estate while living in Bozeman & Big Sky for more than 20 years. Her son and daughter-in-law are both MSU School of Engineering graduates. Her daughter and son-in-law are property and business owners in Bozeman & Big Sky, with whom she partners on real estate ventures. She regularly supports and encourages her grandchildren on the soccer field, golf course, ski racing hill, and horse training and riding arena. She has an extended blended family with two step-children and grandchildren who live near Pittsburgh. Cheryl’s real estate story began when she was 9 years old helping her parents with turnover of their rental property. After college, she did 10 personal relocations in 7 states and had a lot of practice staging homes for resale before choosing to settle in Montana as home base. Cheryl’s passions include travel, golf, skiing, hiking, photography, the family dogs, and all things related to grandkid pursuits.
