On the afternoon of Friday, September 4th, a column of smoke suddenly appeared on the west side of the Bridger Mountains just north of the iconic “M”. With the hot, dry and windy conditions, the fire spread quickly. As the weekend unfolded, Bridger Canyon residents experienced emergency evacuations, locals watched from across the valley, and admirers from afar followed along online.
