Property taxes keep climbing but there is some possible relief in sight! There are multiple Tax Relief Programs you may be eligible for! 

Property Tax Assistance Program (PTAP)

You may be eligible for PTAP if you meet the following criteria*:

  • Own or currently be under a contract to purchase a home or mobile/manufactured home
  • Live in the home as your primary residence for at least seven months of the year
  • Have a 2022 Federal Adjusted Gross Income (FAGI), excluding capital and income losses, less than:
    • Single: $27,621
    • Married or Head of Household: $37,019

New Townhome Development Gets Preliminary Approval in Bozeman

The Jarrett subdivision, a proposed development south of Montana State University, received preliminary approval from the Bozeman City Commission this week. The project will feature a mix of townhomes and single-family homes, with a focus on providing affordable housing options. The bulk of the property borders South 11th Avenue to the east, a future extension of Arnold Street to the north and a future extension of South 15th Avenue to the west. A smaller portion extends south of West Graf Street on either side of South 11th Avenue.

Bozeman is continuing to grow, and a new residential development is on the horizon. The Reserve at Heritage Park is a proposed neighborhood that would feature 35 single-family homes on 20 acres of land northeast of the Baxter Lane/Monforton School Road intersection. It would include 5.44 acres of open space and trails, providing residents with opportunities for outdoor recreation. The property has been used for agricultural purposes in the past but is now being proposed for this new development.
