Policom Corporation released 2017 Economic Strength Rankings and ranked Bozeman as the #1 Micropolitan Area. (Micropolitan Statistical Area is defined as a city with a population of 10,000-50,000). Economic Strength is the long-term tendency for an area to consistently grow in both size and quality. From the Montana Economic Development Report:
