The Best Summer Events in Big Sky, Montana

We are headed into the best time of the year in Montana: Summer! Here are some summer events happening in Big Sky that you won’t want to miss:

• Big Sky Farmers Market: Every Wednesday from June to September at Big Sky Town Center. This weekly market features local vendors, produce, live music, and crafts.

• Music in the Mountains: Every Thursday from June 26 to August 28, at Len Hill Park in Big Sky Town Center. This is a free outdoor concert series featuring national touring artists and local talent. 

• Savor Big Sky: June 26 - 29 at Big Sky Resort. This is Montana's premier food and wine festival with chef-led dinners, wine tastings, and culinary experiences.

• Big Sky PBR: July 17 - 19 at Big Sky Events Arena. Professional bull riding event with live music and after-parties.

• Wildlands Music Festival: August 1 - 2 at Big Sky Events Arena. A music festival supporting land conservation, featuring national headliners.

• Big Sky Biggie: August 23 at Big Sky Town Center. A mountain biking event with races of varying distances.

• The Rut Mountain Runs: September 12 - 14 at Big Sky Resort. Challenging and scenic trail running races.

• Big Sky Oktoberfest: September 25 - 28 at Big Sky Town Center. A fall celebration with German beer, music, food, and activities.

In addition to these specific events, Big Sky offers a variety of summer activities such as hiking, mountain biking, scenic lift rides, ziplining, golf, fly fishing, and horseback riding. The Big Sky Resort also has Adventure Mountain with activities like a giant swing, bungee trampoline, and climbing wall. You can also explore nearby Yellowstone National Park.
