The Woolgatherer at Blue Slipper Theater in Livingston - 8:00 pm. The Blue Slipper is pleased to present this play by William Mastrosimone.  Starring Michelle Zizian and Rich Valiant, Rebecca Ruhd directs this poignant drama. One evening in Philadelphia, two lonely hearts reach out to each other. Rose is a candy counter clerk who's had a rough haul, and Cliff is a truck driver with a sour taste in his mouth.  Rose is selling sweet dreams, and Cliff wants to deliver something real.  The evening becomes an interview in which Rose's sensitivity and romance are challenged by Cliff's rough-edged wit and practicality.  Their longing for love keeps pulling them together, even as it threatens to drive them right over the edge. Young Frankenstein at The Shane Center in Livingston - 8:00 pm. The Shane Lalani Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the first production of its 2017-2018 Community Theatre Season: Mel Brooks' YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN will play in the Dulcie Theatre from October 20 through November 12. When the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein inherits his family's estate in Transylvania, he finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick and leggy lab assistant, Frederick Frankenstein (it's "Fronkensteen") manages to bring to life a creature that rivals his grandfather's.
