Carol has lived in Montana for over 30 years; upon arriving in Montana she became an artist in residence at Bozeman High School. During this time she was a functional potter and custom tile artist. Carol shifted her career in the beginning of 2006 exploring oil painting; continued as a potter and began painting the beautiful skies and landscapes of her surroundings in Gallatin Gateway. In 2012 Carol gave up pottery altogether and became a full time oil painter. This adventurous move changed her whole way of seeing the world and art. A lover of animals was a passion from the beginning and easily gravitated to her paintings. Her surroundings of the rural life of Montana and wildlife became her subjects. Carol's sensitivity of color relationships and love of impressionism have given her paintings a unique style. One of her abilities is to capture a realism with expression and life. Her paintings have a sense of movement and life that keeps the interest of the viewer.  Carol continues to explore new ideas and techniques which keep her collectors interested and excited to see her growth and maturity as an visual artist.
