Back to School for Southwest Montana

Posted on July 26, 2023 by ERA Landmark

As we head into the dog days of summer, we all have that little voice in the back of our mind whispering, "Back to school..." Fret naught, our fellow Southwest Montanans, there's plenty of summer left to raft the rivers and support your local farmers' markets before the need to sharpen pencils and dig your backpacks from the back of the closet. When you're ready, we've compiled a list of back-to-school information for all ages that kicks off in less than a month.

Montana State University

Our Bobcats will be heading back to campus August 24th for their first day of school for the fall semester. With a record enrollment for Spring 2023, MSU won't slow down with their students this coming fall. MSU has been titled the #1 college in the US for outdoor sports and recreation as well as the #3 college in the west for top producers after graduation following after Standford and Cal Tech. (Montana State Admissions)

The back-to-school activities for Montana State always keep the calendar full including a food truck rodeo, Catapalooza, and ERA Landmark's personal favorite, downtown Bozeman's Cat Walk. Don't forget to get your tickets for Bobcat Football's first game of the season over Labor Day for the annual Gold Rush! You'll want to go ahead and save our complimentary season schedule below for future reference, and make sure to check out the rest of Montana State Athletics' full schedule to support our Cats!

First Day of School Across Southwest Montana

As we transition to the back-to-school mode, let's not forget about our local schools in Gallatin, Park, and Madison Counties. Each community has its own unique start days and calendars, but the unifying theme is the eagerness of students and teachers to embark on a new year of learning and growth. From Manhattan to Ennis, from Arrowhead to Twin Bridges, the halls of knowledge will soon buzz with the energy of curiosity and possibility. Check out our list below for your school's first day of school and the yearly calendar.
