Posted on February 2, 2017Looking over data for the past 10 years, the number of single-family homes sold on the Big Sky Mountain started at a low of 9 units in 2007, peaked at 37 units in 2014, and ended up with 30 home sales in 2016. The average home price in this market was a low of $1,246,500 in 2012 and the peak was in 2014 at $2,454,675. In the Big Sky Meadow, the number of units sold fluctuated from 42 in 2007, down to 9 homes in 2008, and worked back up to the 42 mark in 2014. Average sales prices have really vacillated with the highest point in 2008 at $2,191,944 and the low mark coming at $549,841 in 2013. A look at the Gallatin Canyon/ West Yellowstone market segment gives the lowest number of homes sold in 2007 at 16 units and the greatest in 2013 at 40. The average sales price has ranged from 573,029 in 2011 down to 278,933 in 2012, and everything in between. These same statistics are also available for Bozeman, Livingston, and Ennis.
