ERA Landmark's Robyn Erlenbush honored with Guy Sperry Award
Posted on February 2, 2011The Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce has awarded its 2011 Guy Sperry Award to real estate agent Robyn Erlenbush.
The Sperry Award is the Chamber's highest honor, recognizing a community member who excels in their profession and gives back to the community. Guy Sperry was executive vice president of the chamber for 20 years, during which he adamantly espoused the motto "Build a Better Bozeman." The award recognizes others who perpetuate his dream.
"This means as much to me as any award I've ever received," Erlenbush said Tuesday, explaining that she worked with Sperry's wife. "I only knew Guy from his larger-than-life legacy. From that perspective, this is very near and dear to me."
Erlenbush has been in real estate for 30 years. In 1982, she joined the staff of ERA Landmark Real Estate, working in sales and management positions until she purchased the company in 1990.
Throughout her career, Erlenbush has received numerous accolades. Since 1987 she has been one of ERA's top Brokers. From 2004 to 2008, ERA Landmark has been ranked ERA's No. 1 broker in the nation for offices with 50 or fewer agents. United Way of Gallatin County honored her with their Women Who Make a Difference Award in 2002.
Erlenbush is quick to credit her ERA Landmark team, the Bozeman community, her mom, and her husband for her success.
"One really special thing was having my mom at the banquet when I received this award. She's my inspiration," Erlenbush said.
Bonnie Keirle, Erlenbush's mother, taught her the value of community service, Erlenbush said. Serving on the church, library, and various other nonprofit organization boards, Erlenbush said her mother led by example.
Erlenbush is passionate about supporting many organizations in the community including Montana State University, Bozeman Symphony, Intermountain Opera, Bozeman Deaconess Hospital, and the Museum of the Rockies -- her "Fab Five," as she referred to them.
Previous winners of the Sperry Award include Jerry Cashman, owner of Cashman's Nursery, and Steve Schnee, owner of Schnee's Shoes and Boots.
