It's the most wonderful time of year! The weather has shifted and we are pulling our scarves out of storage, drinking PSLs at an increased rate, and are on the hunt for cross-country ski trails. Check out this busy list of highlighted events for the upcoming season the whole family can enjoy in Bozeman, Montana and the surrounding Southwest Montana area.

Museum of the Rockies - Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment | Oct 1 - Dec 31 | For the last decade, some of the most powerful and impactful stories published by National Geographic have been produced by a new generation of women. The photographers featured in Women of Vision: National Geographic Photographers on Assignment are inspiring trailblazers and storytellers.

Bozeman Symphony Concert Series | Oct 30 & 31 | Nov 12 & 14 | Nov 20 & 21 | Dec 11 & 12 | "Our much-anticipated 2021-2022 concert season is here, and we are excited to share the joy of live symphonic music with you once again at the Willson Auditorium. The Bozeman Symphony and Music Director Norman Huynh are proud to announce the expansion of our concert season with six Classical Series performances and two Bozeman Symphony Presents performances.

Can the Griz Food Drive | Nov 6 - Nov 20 | 2021 marks the 22nd year of the Can the Griz Food Drive. This food drive is a friendly, off-field competition between Montana State University and the University of Montana to see which school can collect the most donations for their local food bank - the winner gets Bragging Rights. Can the Griz proceeds go to the Gallatin Valley Food Bank and benefits Bounty of the Bridgers campus food pantry. The Bobcats have successfully canned the Griz 17 of 21 years!

15th Annual Huffing for Stuffing | Nov 24 @ 8am-12pm | HRDC is proud to present the Thanksgiving Day tradition offering a 25k, 15k, 10k, 5k, and more!. Run or walk to support your neighbors while taking in breathtaking vistas. This annual heart-healthy, family-friendly event benefits HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank. Funds raised from Huffing For Stuffing support HRDC's Food and Nutrition Programs, which improve food security for people and families in SW Montana.

Christmas Stroll | Dec 4 @ 4:30-7:30pm | Be a part of Downtown Bozeman’s greatest holiday tradition the Christmas Stroll. Always on the first Saturday in December, come downtown to officially kick off the Holiday Season! Follow Santa Claus as he works his way from the Emerson Cultural Center down Main Street, singing Christmas carols and lighting the downtown holiday lights to help get people into the holiday spirit.

Big Sky, Montana

5th Annual Haunted Peaks Festival | Oct 29 - Oct 30 | A three-day Halloween celebration in Big Sky Town Center. This all-ages event is filled with traditional holiday activities, films, music, and great Fall fun.

Haunted Run to the Pub 5K | Oct 30 @ 1pm | Rock your favorite costume and brave 5k of terror and fun Halloween-themed challenges hosted by Moving Mountains with help from Beehive Basin Brewery and Steele Pressed Juice.

Opening Day: Ski Big Sky Resort | Nov 25 | Come and join us for the first day on the mountain!

BSSHA Winter Skating Rink Schedule | Mid-Dec - Mar | The rink will be open from mid-December – March with a variety of programs for kids and adults. The rink will be located in the same area as in the past, but access will now be through the north side while construction continues on BASE. Parking will be in the lot behind the Lone Peak Movie Theater. *Dates tentative to be updated.

Christmas Stroll | TBD | There are lots to celebrate in Big Sky at the annual Christmas Stroll. Highlights of this festive evening include the tree lighting ceremony, photos with Santa, illuminated cross country ski/fat bike trails and walkways, sleigh/wagon rides, classic holiday films on the big screen at Lone Peak Cinema, carolers, music, good cheer, fireworks, and more!

Livingston, Montana

Livingston Art Walk | Oct 22 @ 5-8pm | Come visit the Galleries of Livingston! Enjoy a wide variety of art as you walk around the historic downtown area of Livingston. Shops are open late, and there are usually a snack or two to be had! Bring your friends and don't miss this artwalk!

Harvest Festival | Oct 31 @ 6-8pm | Come join us for carnival games and lots of candy! A warm, safe place for kids and teens to show off their costumes. The entrance fee is 1 non-perishable item for the Food Resource Center per person. Open to the public!

Community Christmas Craft Fair | Dec 4 @ 9am-4pm | ​Community Christmas Fair, featuring local crafters and artists. Santa's Workshop will be open for youth!

Ennis, Montana

35th Annual Hunters Feed | Oct 22 @ 3-5pm | Hunters Feed is held every year before rifle season opens. We welcome to our Main St. hunters, families, friends and food enthusiasts. Chefs of all abilities offer up their best and most creative wild game dishes.

Ennis Holiday Bazaar 2021 | Nov 27 tentative | A small local Holiday Christmas Party, supporting local artists and crafters!

Spirit of Christmas Stroll | Dec 10 @ 5pm | Come experience Ennis during an old-fashioned Christmas Stroll. Merchants will be open late, featuring Christmas treats for all! Ice Sculpture Demonstration, the Lions Club Park by the Madison River will be lit for the holiday season at 5pm, and the Town Christmas Tree will be lit at 6pm in Peter T’s Park!
