We are headed into the best time of the year in Montana: Summer! Here are some summer events happening in Bozeman that you won’t want to miss:

25th Annual Music on Main: This free outdoor concert series takes place every Thursday evening from July 3rd to August 7th on Main Street in downtown Bozeman. It features live bands (both local and touring), food vendors, and a kids' zone. Music runs from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The 2025 lineup includes:

  • July 3rd: Yam Haus
  • July 10th: Kalyn Beasley
  • July 17th: John Roberts y Pan Blanco
  • July 24th: The Dead & Down
  • July 31st: Neon Rainbow
  • August 7th: NOT. GREENDAY

 

Sweet Pea Festival: This large three-day festival of the arts takes place in Lindley Park from August 1st to 3rd. It features multiple stages with live music of various genres, an artists' marketplace, children's events, dance and theater performances, food vendors, and a parade. Admission wristbands are required for the events in Lindley Park. Some associated events happen during the week leading up to the festival, including:

  • July 29th: Sweet Pea Chalk on the Walk (Main Street)
  • July 31st: Music On Main (sponsored by Sweet Pea)
  • August 2nd: Sweet Pea Run (10K & 5K), Children's Run (1K), Sweet Pea Parade (Main Street)

 

Headwaters Country Jam: While located in Three Forks (a short drive west of Bozeman), this is a major country music festival in the region, taking place from July 24th to 26th. The 2025 lineup includes Koe Wetzel and Flatland Cavalry.

 

Concerts at The ELM

 

Downtown Bozeman Summer Art Walks: On the second Friday of June, July, August, and September (June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th), downtown art galleries and businesses stay open late (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) to showcase local and visiting artists.

 

Bozeman Farmers Market: Every Tuesday evening from June through September at Lindley Park, featuring local farmers, artists, and crafters.

 

Gallatin Valley Farmers' Market: Takes place on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.

 

Events at the Museum of the Rockies

 

Montana Shakespeare in the Park: This beloved program brings free, live professional Shakespeare productions to parks and public spaces around the state, including Bozeman, during the summer.

 

Big Sky Country State Fair: Held at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, typically in mid-July (dates for 2025 weren't explicitly mentioned in the immediate search results but usually around July 17th-21st).
