A New Era of Leadership: Welcome President Brock Tessman!

We extend a huge Bobcat welcome to our incoming president, Dr. Brock Tessman! Dr. Tessman has been named the 13th president of Montana State University and will officially take the helm this summer.

As an alumnus and having served as the Deputy Commissioner for Academic Affairs, Dr. Tessman is no stranger to the Montana University System. He comes to us from Northern Michigan University, where he served as president, and his record of expanding enrollment and fostering student success is truly impressive. With a background that also includes time as the Dean of the Davidson Honors College at the University of Montana, Dr. Tessman brings a deep understanding of the educational landscape in our state.

Known for his energy, strong communication skills, and dedication to students, Dr. Tessman is poised to lead MSU into a bold new chapter. We are thrilled to welcome him back to Montana and can't wait to see the incredible impact he will have on our university community.
