As summer is winding down, Montana State University is kicking off another great year with a series of exciting events to welcome students back to Bozeman! Parents and students, mark your calendars for these fun-filled activities kicking off what will be an amazing 2024-25 school year:
Week One: Food, Fun, and Community
Friday, August 16: Catwalk MSU and the Downtown Bozeman Association hosts the annual Cat Walk on Main Street from 11am - 1pm. Faculty and students will make their way down Main Street visiting business and handing out Bobcat gear and treats. Don’t miss this beloved Bozeman tradition, find more details here!
Sunday, August 18: Food Truck Rodeo Join us for a delicious evening of food truck fare, games, and live music at Romney Oval from 6-8 PM. Families are invited, students eat free!
Monday, August 19: Student Wellness Center Grand Opening Celebrate the opening of our new Student Wellness Center at 3 PM. This state-of-the-art facility offers a variety of services to support your overall well-being through an array of clinical services, educational experiences, and recreational opportunities.
Tuesday, August 20: M Photo, Convocation, and First Meal Make history by participating in the iconic M Photo at Bobcat Stadium. Then, attend our inspiring convocation featuring a special guest speaker at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Finally, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner with your new MSU community at Romney Oval.
Week Two: Discover Your MSU
Wednesday, August 21: First Day Welcome Tents and President’s Ice Cream Social Meet your academic advisors at the First Day Welcome Tents and then cool off with some free ice cream from President [President's Name] at Malone Centennial Mall.
Friday, August 23: Catapalooza Explore student organizations, campus resources, and local businesses at Catapalooza from 10 AM to 3 PM.
Saturday, August 24: MSU Debut Service Saturday Give back to the community by participating in one of our many service projects organized by the Office of Student Engagement.
Sunday, August 25: Rock’n the M Help preserve MSU tradition by giving the iconic M a fresh coat of paint from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Bridger Foothills Trail Head.
Week Three: Explore and Engage
Wednesday, August 28: Bobcat Treasure Hunt Embark on a fun-filled adventure to discover MSU treasures, win prizes, and even have a chance to win a $500 scholarship! Pick up your map at the Library or Spirit the Bobcat.
