Cheryl’s life journey has taken her from east coast to west coast, the mid-Atlantic states, and to the Rocky Mountains where she has embraced all there is to love about living in Southwest Montana. Having owned and leased real estate while living in Bozeman & Big Sky now for more than 25 years, this is definitely the last best place to call home.
Her son and daughter-in-law are both MSU School of Engineering graduates. Her daughter and son-in-law are property and business owners in Bozeman & Big Sky, with whom she partners on real estate ventures. She regularly supports and encourages her grandchildren on the soccer field, golf course, ski hill, and horse riding arena. She has an extended blended family with two step-children and grandchildren who live near Pittsburgh.
Cheryl’s real estate story began when she was 9 years old helping her parents with turnover of their rental property. After college, she did 10 personal relocations in 7 states and had a lot of practice staging homes for resale before choosing to settle in Montana as home base. Cheryl’s passions include travel, golf, photography, the family dogs, and all things related to grandkid pursuits.
Background:
Cheryl is a seasoned executive with more than 35 years of real estate, healthcare business, and management consulting experience. Having served in a senior leadership capacity for 15 years with a local health system, she led business development & market expansion initiatives. In this capacity Cheryl was responsible for strategic planning, real estate acquisition, land asset management & development, facility planning and construction project management for key installations, along with marketing communications and public relations. She has had oversight responsibility for more than $42M of commercial & residential real estate transactions, facility planning, and construction including the feasibility, architectural, & construction planning for the greenfield $24M Big Sky Medical Center. Additionally, Cheryl led the development team for a 55+ subdivision and $46M in infrastructure and vertical construction, along with managing land use master planning projects and numerous real estate lease transactions for the corporation.
She has owned and leased personal and vacation rental real estate while living in Bozeman & Big Sky for more than 25 years. Her investment property experience led to POA management & board experience. Since its founding in 2016, Cheryl has been an owner of Stay Montana, a vacation rental management company now operating in Big Sky, Bozeman, and the Flathead Valley. She is also an owner of RTE Property Group, a professional property management company providing multi-family, commercial, and association property management.

Cheryl received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and Social Services from West Liberty University in WV, and obtained Professional Teaching Certification from Central Connecticut State University School of Graduate Studies. She obtained her CAPS [Certified Aging in Place Specialist] designation from the National Association of Home Builders in 2013. Cheryl received her real estate salesperson license in 2018 and her broker license in 2022. She has completed the ERA Distinctive Properties certification and has earned the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist designation and achieved GUILD recognition for her sales performance through the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. She is also a member of the following organizations: National Association of Realtors, Montana Association of Realtors, Gallatin Association of Realtors, Big Sky Country Multiple Listing Service, Community Associations Institute, and the Institute of Real Estate Management.
