Stronger Together - Supporting the Bridger Foothills Fire Relief Fund
Posted on September 16, 2020On the afternoon of Friday, September 4th, a column of smoke suddenly appeared on the west side of the Bridger Mountains just north of the iconic “M”. With the hot, dry and windy conditions, the fire spread quickly. As the weekend unfolded, Bridger Canyon residents experienced emergency evacuations, locals watched from across the valley, and admirers from afar followed along online. Details on the Bridger Foothills Fire can be found on InciWeb and local news outlets, but over 8,000 acres have burned and 28 homes were destroyed in the fire.
With every hardship that has occurred this year, what remains true is the strength and resiliency of our community. With a moment's notice, first responders were on the scene, neighbors helped neighbors evacuate, and volunteers answered the call for water, food and shelter. It’s amazing what can be accomplished when everyone comes together to help one another.
We at ERA Landmark are ready to do our part. As the fire smolders, the greatest need right now is money to alleviate the financial burden that will impact families and response organizations long after the fire is extinguished. To help fulfill this need, ERA Landmark is selling Stronger Together t-shirts with proceeds going to the Bridger Foothills Fire Relief Fund. The fund, managed by One Valley Community Foundation and Greater Gallatin United Way is the single location for financial donations. This unified effort will streamline the allocation of funds to individuals and families impacted by the fire and the organizations serving our community now and in the weeks to come. In addition to raising money through t-shirt sales, ERA Landmark will be giving t-shirts to first responders in thanks for their service.
Please consider making a purchase to join our Stronger Together movement. There are a variety of shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies available in both black-ink and white-ink styles so there’s something for everyone!
