A new affordable housing project in Bozeman is in the works, thanks to federal and local funding. The Montana Department of Commerce recently allocated $3.2 million to support affordable housing initiatives across the state, with Bozeman receiving a significant portion. The city itself also pledged $2 million to the project. This funding will go towards building the Hidden Creek Apartments, a development that will offer:

  • 182 low-income housing tax credit apartments

  • 8 equity-restricted rowhomes through a community land trust

  • A county-owned parcel reserved for future community use

The Hidden Creek Apartments will be located on a vacant parcel of land north of the Gallatin County Rest Home. While a completion date hasn't been announced yet, we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available. Affordable housing is crucial for the health and well-being of our communities. It allows people to live and work in the places they love, contributing to a strong local economy. This project is a step in the right direction towards making Bozeman a more accessible place for everyone.
