Gallatin High School Field Trip

Our Bozeman associates had the opportunity to tour the new Gallatin High School last week. We love a good field trip! The new high school has been in the works for many years and there have been several reports in the news, but you have to step inside to really understand the scope of the project. Huge thanks to Todd Swinehart, Director of Facilities for Bozeman Public Schools, for taking the time to give us a special tour. Here are some fun facts we learned about Gallatin High School:

ERA Landmark and United Way Rake A Difference

It has to be a sign of a good time when we’re all too busy having fun to stop and post photos on social media! In late October, ERA Landmark associates from the Bozeman office came together to “Rake A Difference” for senior citizens in our community. Greater Gallatin United Way coordinated with the Bozeman Senior Center, HRDC, and Befrienders, to find residents in need of help with fall yard care and Team ERA was ready to help.

Green Homes

Real estate markets feature available properties for sale that come in all shapes and sizes, new and old, basic to extravagant, and wasteful to green. There was a time not so long ago that taking sustainability into consideration when building or remodeling a home was not a concern. Those days seem to be behind us. The industry has taken more notice with each passing year, even though the green movement has formally been making steady strides for the last three decades.

Robyn Erlenbush Attends 2019 NAI Global Convention

Robyn Erlenbush, Broker/Owner of NAI Landmark, attended the 2019 Annual NAI Global Convention. The NAI Global Convention is a business networking event held in Las Vegas September 9-12. Over 600 attendees representing offices worldwide gathered for education, best practice sharing, as well as networking and business opportunities. Erlenbush participated in the kickoff meeting for the NAI Womens Alliance Group. Women in all roles within the commercial real estate industry came together for a leadership panel discussion and networking round-tables.

Green Building

“Green Government” is the title of an article by Brad Broberg in On Common Ground, a magazine published twice each year by the National Association of REALTORS®. The Spring 2019 edition provided an array of topics that are easily relatable to our local area, including green building. Green building is included in terminology throughout the real estate industry when identifying positive aspects of a building that affect the natural environment. The main considerations include energy and water usage, type of materials used and the effect on the build site. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building rating system was developed to more easily quantify the level of best practices used in several categories.

Kelly Bresnahan Attends ERA Young Leaders Network Summit

Kelly Bresnahan, General Manager of ERA Landmark Real Estate, attended the 2019 ERA Young Leaders Network (YLN) Summit in Salt Lake City, August 21-22. YLN is an exclusive group of owners and managers within the ERA network who gather annually to discuss best practices and industry trends. YLN members are selected by ERA’s senior leadership team, based on the management abilities each member has demonstrated at their respective companies.

Bresnahan has been with ERA Landmark since 2005 and a YLN member since 2013. ERA Landmark has over 60 full time associates with offices in Bozeman, Big Sky, Livingston and Ennis.

The Value of Nature

The National Association of REALTORS® publishes a magazine, On Common Ground, twice each year. The Spring 2019 edition was full of topics that can resonate in any market across the nation. An article entitled “The Undeniable and Enduring Value of Nature” by G.M. Filisko especially struck home due to the Bozeman area’s penchant for parks, trails and open space. 

A recent study by researchers at Penn State looked at how Americans view the importance of having parks in close proximity to where they live.
