Keep Bozeman Kids Warm This Winter
With the first snow expected in the coming weeks, many students in our community struggle to stay warm and comfortable during the school day. The Bozeman School District is committed to ensuring that all students have access to the essential items they need to succeed, and that includes warm winter gear.
Donate gently used winter items, including:
- Coats
- Jackets
- Boots
- Snow pants
- Gloves
- Hats
Where can you donate? Drop off your donations at any Bozeman School District front office throughout the month of October.
Anna Edwards, BSD7’s Family-School Services Coordinator, commented on the rising demand. "With even basic snow boots starting at about $40, outfitting just one child with appropriate winter gear can present a financial strain on families already working hard to make ends meet," said [Name of School District Official]. "In my 13 years with the District, I have never seen this many students asking for help." (Montanarightnow.com)
The goal is to distribute the winter items to students the first week of November. A comprehensive list of needed items and sizes is available on the Bozeman School District's website.
