On Saturday, October 28, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will present the 16th Annual Elise Event, named in memory of Elise Donohoe. The event will be held at the Black Box Theater on the MSU campus, beginning at 7:00 pm, and will feature an 80-minute performance of Shakespeare's comedy, Twelfth Night, along with live music and a catered reception with wine, hors d'oeuvres, and dessert. Twelfth Night is the featured Shakespeare in the Schools play for the fall 2017 season and will be presented to almost 50 schools throughout the state. Tickets for the event are $40 and all proceeds go to support Shakespeare in the Schools mission of "bringing live, professional performances and engaging workshops to mostly rural and under-served middle and high school students from across Montana and Wyoming". ERA Landmark is a proud supporter of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Tickets for this outstanding event may be purchased at the ERA Landmark Downtown Visitors Center at 8 East Main. This fall marks the 25th season of Shakespeare in the Schools, a program that brings a live Shakespearean play and workshops directly to middle schools and high schools. Of the 48 schools visited in 2016, the company performed on or near four of Montana's seven Indian reservations and nearly 30% of the schools were located in communities with a population of less than 1,000, the smallest being Hobson with a population of just over 200.
