• Freak Out - Friday, May 26th 8:00 PM, Verge Theater: Directed by Sadie Cassavaugh (Row After Row, Gift of the Magi, Robin Hood and Three Glorious Weeks), this musical tells the story of two counter-culture bikers in the late 1960s on a voyage to discover the real America, but who soon find themselves embroiled with a devilish cult trying to take over the world! • Walking Tour - Murders, Madams, & Mediums - Saturday, May 27th  7:00 PM: From horrific murders to notorious madams and mediums communicating with the spirit world, Bozeman's darker history comes to light in a walking tour designed to send a shiver up your spine. Hear how "Steamboat Bill" murdered the China woman Linn Lum and Bozeman's "Week of Horror!" Learn how Mrs. Mounts proved to Bozeman society that she could communicate with the dead. • GVLT Discovery Walk: Introduction to Birding - Saturday, May 27th 8:00 AM, Sourdough Trail: If you're new to birding or want to discover the "open secrets" of Sourdough Trail, join some experienced birders for what is considered by many to be the best birding walk in the Gallatin Valley. Quiet, curious walkers will be rewarded with a handful of species sightings, a nesting site or two, and glorious birdsong within the hour. Map and bird list provided. • Einstein's Gravity Playlist - Saturday, May 27th - Museum of the Rockies 2:00 PM: See the world premiere of the first original production in the digital Taylor Planetarium. This show, produced at Montana State University, will explore Einstein's famous theory that predicted the existence of gravitational waves through their discovery in February 2016. Join Lucia, a Ph.D. student in physics, on an exploration of how gravitational waves are formed, how they move through the universe, and how scientists like her work to hear them. • American Legion Memorial Day Pancake Feed & Parade - Monday, May 29th 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM - American Legion: ome enjoy a breakfast at the Legion Club starting at 7am (donations requested), then a parade down Main Street at 9:30am followed by a memorial service at Sunset Hills Cemetery at 11am. • Memorial Day Run 5K/10K - Monday, May 29th 11:45 AM, Schnees Downtown: Join the first annual Running to Remember event honoring Memorial Day. All proceeds for the race go toward the Les Hausaur Memorial Scholarship. The 10k and 5k runs start along Kagy Blvd. in the Highland Glen Trail System and winds through the foothills of Bozeman providing beautiful views of the Bridger mountains as well as downtown Bozeman from the top of Pete's Hill. • Flea Market & Swap - Monday, May 29th 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Cinnamon Lodge: The Cinnamon Lodge is clearing some space! Come down and celebrate Memorial Day, by buying, selling, or trading your ware. All are invited to reserve a space to sell their art, gear, and other valuable "junk". The yard games will be out, the goats roaming, and there's plenty of space down by the river. Beverly Axelsen is an Herbalist, Instructor of Plant Medicine and Herb Classes, and Habilitation Services Specialist at Counter Point. Many great teachers have influenced her over the years; the most respected and knowledgeable being the plants themselves. She has studied in the mountains and prairies of Montana, the jungles of Belize, Costa Rica and in Bali. As a teacher and guide for others Bev promotes direct experience with plants.
