We are incredibly proud to announce that Sarah Swanson has been honored with the Community Impact Leadership Award by the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.
This prestigious award serves to recognize local leaders who go beyond their daily duties to foster connection, stability, and growth within our region. For those who know Sarah, this accolade is a well-deserved testament to her character and her lifelong commitment to the Montana communities that raised her.
Rooted in Montana Values
To understand Sarah’s drive to serve, you have to look at her roots. Sarah has called Montana home since age nine, attending the historic Pine Creek School in Paradise Valley—a three-room schoolhouse where students aged four to fourteen learned side-by-side.
Graduating from Park High School in Livingston and attending Montana State University, Sarah possesses a deep love for this region that can’t be taught. She understands that in our small towns, values like loyalty, compassion, and neighborliness are the currency that matters most.
"Growing up here shaped who I am," Sarah says. "Today, it’s a privilege to live, work, and give back to the communities that raised me."
Leading with Empathy and Support
For Sarah, leadership isn't about being the loudest voice in the room; it's about showing up for people when they need it most.
She believes in being of service to those who feel overlooked or uncertain. This spirit extends into every interaction she has. Sarah frequently offers pro bono guidance to individuals navigating divorce or other difficult life transitions. By providing clarity and calm when emotions run high, she helps neighbors make informed, steady decisions about their future during their most vulnerable moments.
Her philosophy is simple but powerful:
"I believe in showing up for people. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others find not just a place to live, but a place where they feel seen, safe, and supported."
Building Community, One Connection at a Time
Sarah’s work reminds us that true community leadership isn't about titles or numbers—it is about connection. Whether she is mentoring a first-time homebuyer to help them find stability or simply listening to a neighbor in need, her goal is to create a more inclusive, grounded, and connected community.
Please join us in celebrating Sarah Swanson for this wonderful achievement and thanking her for her dedication to making Montana a better place for all of us.
